Chelsea Rose, an archaeologist at Southern Oregon University Laboratory of Anthropology, will highlight her work at sites associated with railroad workers on the Oregon and California Line and miners working along the John Day River, Jacksonville's Chinese Quarter and Chinese villages where individuals emigrated from. Her talk will cover regional history, archaeological findings and the investigatory approach that is revealing the transnational lives of Oregon's early Chinese residents.
